Comprehensive Low Vision Services:

A non-profit organization working in conjunction with UT Medical Center and Tennessee Rehabilitation Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired to provide vision rehabilitation services for patients with moderate to severe vision loss. The only fulltime, freestanding low vision facility in our region.

The Low Vision Support Gift Fund was established to help supply examinations and low vision devices to indigent patients, support research, and provide equipment to continue the quality care provided at the Low Vision Center. Gifts should be mailed to the UT Office of Development and Alumni Relations, 600 Henley St, Suite 90 Knoxville, TN 37902 and marked specifically for the Low Vision Center.

Bruce D. Gilliland, O.D.- Low Vision Specialist, received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee.  He has an extensive background in low vision rehabilitation, including experience in the Memphis Low Vision Center Clinic and the Low Vision Centers of Texas in Fort Worth.
